décor and furnishings
The choices continue on the inside, where we’ll offer you a very wide selection of colours and designs to create a co-ordinated environment in which seating, carpets and curtains complement each other perfectly.

We provide everything you need for meals on the move with a stylish and sensibly-equipped unit containing a combined sink and two-burner hob with Piezo ignition and flame failure device. There’s a top-opening 12v compressor fridge, removable sliding table and storage locker suitable for a portable flushing toilet.

relaxing and sleeping
Both front seats recline and swivel, and are fitted with headrests for safety, and adjustable arm rests for comfort whether on tour or on site. Towards the rear is the unique Murvi multi-position sliding seat which locks into numerous positions either to provide maximum space for lounging, more intimate seating for dining, or passenger space for three people, who have two inertia reel safety belts and a central lap belt for protection on the move. At night-time the seat converts into an eminently comfortable king-sized bed (74" x 64" max).
 There are nine interior lights, a mix of spotlamps and fluorescents, positioned exactly where they are needed. The light and airy interior features a tinted sun roof, toughened glass side windows, lined curtains and interior insulated covers for cab area and sunroof. There’s a stereo RDS radio cassette with rear speakers and convenient bedside switch.

Enter the Mirage through its sliding side door and you’re surrounded by everything you need for a smooth and comfortable journey – round the corner or across a continent.
Mains power is supplied via a hook-up with 25 metres of cable, RCD, two switched socket outlets, 12V control panel and automatic charging for the 75AH auxiliary 12v deep-cycle battery with split-charge relay.
For storage you’ll find the drawer under the three person rear seat not only glides out on roller runners but also swallows up all manner of equipment you need for a journey. There’s a ventilated locker for two Camping Gas cylinders, along with a separate gas isolation tap. Fresh water and waste are taken care of by separate six gallons tanks, each with an accurate level gauge. The Volkswagen Mirage has the option of an under floor fresh water tank (10 gallon) giving additional interior storage.

Murvi is unique in fitting all its vehicles with an insurance-approved Thatcham Category 1 remote operated security alarm with panic button, ultrasonic detector and engine immobiliser. We go further by including carbon monoxide detector, first aid kit, smoke detector, fire extinguisher, fire blanket, warning triangle and spare bulb kit.
