The compact Murvi Meteor is equally at home as everyday transport as it is as a getaway vehicle for weekend breaks and holidays when the Meteor seems to literally grow around you offering every comfort for eating, relaxing and sleeping.
Your Meteor can be based on the Volkswagen T5 Kombi, or the Fiat Ducato and comes with a fixed or elevating roof (on VW). Our standard specification is extensive, and flexible, to match your requirements exactly – while a range of exterior colours and a long list of optional extras increases your choices still further.

décor and furnishings
Create a harmonised environment by selecting your favourite seating fabric from the hundreds available to you, and the curtains and carpets will provide the perfect complement.
 cooking and dining
We include everything you need to whistle up a lunchtime snack or prepare a sumptuous dinner. The combined sink, drainer and four-burner hob with grill are a chef’s delight, while automatic ignition and flame failure device keep things easy and safe. The three-way Dometic fridge is tilt tolerant with auto ignition, while ample storage lockers include one suitable for a portable flushing toilet. We even include a four-place melamine crockery set, plate drainer, vegetable basket and teak chopping board – plus there’s a removable sliding table which matches the length of the complete unit and provides comfortable dining space for four people.
relaxing and sleeping
Both front seats have head restraints and adjustable arms, and swivel to form part of the living space while on site. The versatile sliding rear seat has comfortable space for two people (Fiat three), and locks into different positions to maximise lounging space, to create one of the best double beds in the business (73" x 57" max) or to provide travel seats with inertia reel safety belts for two passengers (Fiat three). For load carrying, you can even move the seat right forward to create maximum space.
No fewer than seven interior lights – a mix of spotlamps and fluorescent – are carefully positioned to enhance the light and airy feel that’s a hallmark of Murvi motorcaravans. A Heki-2 rooflight and four Seitz sliding double-glazed windows help the sunlight shine in. (VW models have factory-fitted toughened glass windows and tinted sunroof.)
 We provide interior insulated covers for the cab area and sunroof, while a five-way roof light gives easily adjustable ventilation (FIAT).
There’s a stereo RDS radio cassette with additional rear speakers and a useful bedside switch.
practical touches
A wide sliding side door gives easy access to the interior, while the electric step has a warning buzzer (Fiat). The Meteor comes with mains hook-up, RCD protection and 25 metres of cable as well as double-switched 13 amp socket and automatic battery charging. There’s a 12V control panel with voltmeter and auxiliary 75AH 12v deep-cycle battery with split-charge relay.
A large drawer on roller runners under the rear seat provides ample storage, and there’s a hanging facility for suit carriers.The Volkswagen Meteor has the option of a wardrobe.
The ventilated gas locker has space for two cylinders along with gas isolation taps, and both the 12 gallon underfloor fresh water tank (VW 10 gal) and eight gallon waste tank have accurate level gauges.
safety and security
Murvi is unique in fitting all its vehicles with an insurance-approved Thatcham Category 1 remote operated security alarm with panic button, ultrasonic detector and engine immobiliser. We go further by including carbon monoxide detector, first aid kit, smoke detector, fire extinguisher, fire blanket, warning triangle and spare bulb kit.
