décor and furnishings
All seating is covered with the fabric of your choice from a very wide range of colours and designs. And the curtains and carpets will provide the perfect complement.
 cooking and dining
A neat single unit cleverly combines sink, drainer, four burner hob and grill with automatic ignition and flame failure device to create an eminently workable kitchen for chefs on the move. There are drawers for cutlery and crockery, a Dometic three-way tilt-tolerant fridge with auto ignition, and ample storage lockers including one suitable for a portable flushing toilet.
The four-place dining table slides along to cater for food preparation or dining, and can also be removed for travel. We even provide a four-place melamine crockery set, plate drainer, vegetable basket and teak chopping board.
relaxing and sleeping
Up front you’ll find two swivelling and reclining seats with head restraints and adjustable arm rests, while behind is Murvi’s clever six-position sliding seat system with self-cleaning runners. On the move it provides seating for two passengers (Fiat three), who have inertia reel safety belts to protect them, while on site it transforms quickly and easily between comfortable settee and lengthways double bed (73" x 57" max on VW). The Fiat version has a transverse double bed (75" x 54" max) giving masses of floor space.
 We provide ten interior lights in a mix of spotlamps and fluorescents positioned exactly where they are needed, while natural light floods through the four Seitz sliding double-glazed windows and a Heki roof light, flyscreens and blinds, as well as a five way roof light with flyscreen provides additional ventilation. (VW models have factory fitted toughened glass windows).
The stereo RDS radio cassette has two additional rear speakers and a convenient bedside switch.
practical touches
The wide-opening sliding side door gives easy access to the interior, and is fitted with electric step and warning buzzer (Fiat).
On the power front, we provide mains hook-up with automatic built-in charging for the auxiliary battery, along with split-charge relay.
For such a nimble and manoeuvrable vehicle, the Mallard packs plenty of storage. There’s a large drawer on roller runners beneath the rear seat, a large locking strongbox beneath the front passenger seat (Fiat), and a ventilated gas locker for two cylinders.
We provide a hanging facility for suit carriers, and an option of a wardrobe on the Volkswagen, while there’s a 12 gallon underfloor fresh water tank (10 gal VW) with pump, and an eight gallon waste tank.
safety and security
Murvi is unique in fitting all its vehicles with an insurance-approved Thatcham Category 1 remote operated security alarm with panic button, ultrasonic detector and engine immobiliser. We go further by including carbon monoxide detector, first aid kit, smoke detector, fire extinguisher, fire blanket, warning triangle and spare bulb kit as well as large locking strongbox under the passenger seat (Fiat).
